The Summer Stroll

Sunday September 8th from the Barn

A bit of Fresh Air

Join us on Sunday 8th September 2019, for a walk through Purley and along the Thames to see the fine late summer colours

Bluebells
We will meet at The Barn at 2:00 p.m. for a gentle stroll down to the Thames.

The walk will last approximately two hours, and mostly on level ground.

Courtesy of the local historians in our midst, there will be details on many, if not all, of the historical landmarks which we pass.

We should see a good variety of wild life, with both cormorants and herons commonly seen on the river, and if we are very lucky, we might see glimpses of a kingfisher.

Please wear suitable footwear and bring a bottle of water. All ages welcome, plus well-behaved dogs.

We return to the Barn where tea and cakes will be served

The cost is 3, payable on the day, with no pre-booking required.

Ample parking is available at the Barn.
